Biomedical Materials Testing
Biomedical materials are used to diagnose, treat, repair, replace the damaged tissues and organs of the human body, or to enhance their functions. They are widely used and have many varieties. According to their composition and properties, they can be divided into biomedical metal materials, biomedical inorganic non-metal materials, biomedical polymer materials, biomedical composite materials, etc. Since biomedical materials are closely related to human health, it is of great significance to analyze, test and evaluate their chemical structure, physical and mechanical properties, and their biocompatibility and safety when in contact with the human body.
Testing and analyzing the properties of biomedical materials
When used as a material, biomedical materials must not only have relevant mechanical properties, but also have properties or functions that meet certain special requirements. Therefore, when evaluating or selecting a biomedical material, its chemical structure and mechanical properties need to be investigated; on the other hand, as an implant in the human body, not only requires its physical and mechanical properties to be stable for a long time under physiological conditions, but also can not have adverse effects on human tissue, blood, immune system and other systems, specifically reflected in the biocompatibility of the material.
Our testing scope includes but not limited to:
- Biomedical metal materials
- Biomedical inorganic non-metallic materials or bioceramics
