Resins can be divided into natural resins and synthetic resins. Natural resin refers to the amorphous organic substances obtained from the secretions of animals and plants in nature, such as rosin, amber, shellac and so on. Synthetic resin refers to the resin products obtained by chemical synthesis of simple organic compounds or chemical reactions of some natural products. In industrial production, synthetic resins are widely used in the separation and purification of impurities in liquids, including macroporous adsorption resins, ion exchange resins and some special resins.
