Thermo-Mechanical Analysis (TMA)
Thermomechanical analysis, also known as TMA, makes the sample under the control of a certain temperature program, applies a certain mechanical force to the sample, and measures the change of the size or shape of the sample in a certain direction with temperature or time. This technique is one of the more important thermal analysis methods, and it is a good supplement to perfect DSC, TGA and DMA methods. It can be widely used in inorganic ceramics, metal materials, polymers, building materials, coating materials, refractory materials, composite materials and other fields. As a professional reliability third-party testing organization, T,C&A Lab can provide TMA testing service for various samples according to ISO, ASTM standards and industry requirements. Welcome to contact our experts for consultation.
Why perform TMA testing
As various substances change with temperature, their mechanical properties change accordingly. Therefore, thermomechanical analysis is of great significance to the research and measurement of the application temperature range, processing conditions, and mechanical properties of materials.
Although thermomechanical analysis involves a wide range of materials, including metals, ceramics, inorganic materials and organic materials, it is of special significance to study the glass transition temperature Tg, flow temperature Tf, phase transition, Young's modulus, stress relaxation and so on.
